Currently making waves on the internet and taking over various entertainment news outlets is the ongoing dispute between Davido and Sophia Momodu regarding the custody of their daughter Imade Adeleke.

Davido took the matter to court after failing to come to an agreement with Sophia on co-parenting their daughter, Imade Adeleke.

In a separate court filing, Sophia presented an affidavit detailing why she believed Davido was not suitable to raise their daughter.

A key point in the affidavit was Sophia’s claim that Davido had lost his son, Ifeanyi, in his home under unfortunate and questionable circumstances, which she argued made him unfit to have custody of their daughter.

Momodu had argued: “The Applicant is an artist who always travels around the world as mandated by his career and cannot possibly be with our daughter at crucial times.

“The Applicant is married to another woman, and they live together. The proper upbringing of our daughter by another cannot be guaranteed.

“The fact that the Applicant lost his son in his house in rather unfortunate and questionable circumstances shows that our daughter cannot be placed in the custody of the Applicant.”

In reply, Davido stated that their daughter would one day learn the truth, reminding Sophia that she would not remain a child forever.

“Your constantly bringing up the death of my child at any point u can to just remind us of this tragedy that haunts us everyday of our lives ..

“Imade will grow up to see I fought for her .. as for now u can have her .. P.S she won’t be a child forever .. enjoy ❤️ Imade Aurora Adeleke ! Your father loves you!”
