Eno Barony has emphasized that the majority of her songs are inspired by her personal experiences, citing her latest single Soja Go Soja as a prime example.
She explained that the song reflects her journey through the complexities of love.
During an interview on Property FM, the female MC mentioned that creating songs based on real-life events allows listeners to connect easily as they resonate with their own experiences.
“When God created human beings I think he created love to be part of us so people fall in love every day and people also break up every day,” she said.
She further added, “So I think that things that are relatable and happen in the lives of most people if you sing about it it’ll speak about someone’s issues.
“I used the experiences that I’m facing in life to do an album and I released Soja Go Soja Come based on how I moved on from issues like that,” she told Amansan Krakye on the show.
Eno was on the same platform a few weeks ago advocating for the inclusion of the Best Female Artist of the Year category at the Telcel Ghana Music Awards (TGMAs).
She emphasized that this move would enhance the representation of female artists in the music industry.
Eno told Amansan Krakye the importance of providing more support for female acts and creating opportunities for them by introducing this category.
“If the Telecel Ghana Music Awards or any other awards scheme will create a category for females it’s not a bad idea and that’ll be great.
“Because that will augment our work and the craft of the females will feel appreciated and I know it’ll come,” she added.
“A lot of females keep coming into the music scene and that category will surely come just that we need the push from the media.
“There should be support for the females especially those in the rap game because the louder they become the more the category will be created for them”.
