In fresh entertainment news, Joe Frazier has shared his thoughts about how social media is significantly helping musicians of the modern era in an interview on Radio XYZ.
In this conversation, the veteran artist disclosed his observations on the transformative power of social media in catapulting artists from mediocrity to stardom.
Joe Frazier, who is also known by his stage name Big Joe Frazier, expressed his belief that the majority of artists lack inherent talent.
He contrasted his argument with the events that occurred during the era’s heydays and formative stage of Hiplife, asserting that artists during that period contributed significantly, whereas social media has merely simplified the process for contemporary artists.
In his words, “back then, it was tough. People didn’t understand the Twi dialect, and there was little investment in music. Now, investors are more willing to fund music projects.”
However, he emphasized that not all artists of contemporary times attain enduring success; a significant number face transient popularity, attributed to the impact of social media.
“Some artistes succeed, while others struggle,” he commented. “This disparity is normal and exists everywhere, even in our days.
In our time, songs underwent rigorous processes before release, ensuring quality and potential success. Today, social media simplifies things; even untalented artists can gain popularity by posting songs from their rooms without deep musical knowledge.”
