Camidoh recently disclosed that he has an upcoming collaboration with famed and multiple award-winning American rapper, Snoop Dogg.
The talented Afrobeats singer and rapper mentioned that he has chosen not to excessively promote or create hype around this collaboration as the song has not been released yet.
This exciting news was shared during his appearance on Hitz FM, where he was interviewed by Andy Dosty. He stated:
“Sometimes you want to talk about it when the record is out. I’m the type of person who is more about the record and my PR managers do the talking. I just do the recording and the performances.”
Snoop Dogg’s real name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr. He is an American rapper and actor. His fame dates back to 1992, when he was featured on Dr. Dre’s debut solo single, “Deep Cover”, and then on Dre’s debut solo album, The Chronic. Broadus has since sold over 23 million albums in the United States and 35 million albums worldwide. His accolades include an American Music Award, a Primetime Emmy Award, and 17 nominations at the Grammy Awards.
Broadus’ first solo album, Doggystyle, was produced by Dr. Dre and released by Death Row Records in November 1993. It quickly rose to the top of the charts, debuting at number one on both the Billboard 200 and Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
The album sold an impressive 800,000 copies in its first week and was certified quadruple-platinum in 1994. The album featured hit singles such as “What’s My Name?” and “Gin and Juice”. In 1994, Broadus released a soundtrack for the short film Murder Was the Case, which he starred in.
His second album, Tha Doggfather, was released in 1996 and also debuted at number one on both charts. The lead single, “Snoop’s Upside Ya Head”, was a hit. The album was later certified double-platinum in 1997.
