Popular on-air personality Dr Pounds has disclosed that social media commentator and musician Showboy extended a helping hand to the beleaguered rapper Okomfour Kwadee In a touching revelation on Hitz FM.

This act of kindness occurred while Showboy was serving a sentence in a US prison. During his show, Dr Pounds recounted, “While Showboy was in prison, he sent money to be given to fellow rapper Lord Kenya for onward transfer to Kwadee.

Lord Kenya planned to visit Kwadee, who was battling mental issues and had become a shadow of his former self. The money was intended to help with his medication and upkeep.”

Kwadee, once a mainstream sensation in Ghana’s music industry who dominated entertainment news platforms during his heydays, faced numerous challenges that led to a decline in his career.

His struggles with mental health became public knowledge, and various efforts were made to support him.

Dr Pounds revealed that he forwarded Showboy’s contribution to Lord Kenya, who added it to his own gift for Kwadee. “It was a heartfelt gesture.

Showboy’s decision not to go public with his deeds, remaining modest about it even while in prison, is highly commendable,” Dr Pounds noted. This act of generosity sheds light on the often unseen support within the music community.

Showboy’s willingness to help, despite his own circumstances, highlights the deep sense of camaraderie among artists.

In their conversation on Hitz FM, Showboy’s humble approach to assisting Kwadee was evident. He expressed his admiration for Kwadee’s earlier works and felt compelled to support him during his difficult times.

“Kwadee’s music meant a lot to many of us growing up. It was only right to help when he needed it most,” Showboy shared.

Dr Pounds lauded Showboy’s actions, emphasizing that such acts of kindness and solidarity are crucial in any community.

“Showboy’s gesture is a reminder that we should all look out for one another, especially in tough times. It speaks volumes about his character,” Dr Pounds concluded.
