Ghanaian musician Keche Andrew has addressed rumours circulating on social media about his political involvement, clarifying that his support is solely for his wife, Joana Gyan Cudjoe, who is vying for the parliamentary seat in the Amenfi Central constituency on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
In a recent interview, Keche Andrew expressed his unwavering commitment to backing his wife’s political journey. He questioned critics by asking, “If you had a wife with political ambitions, wouldn’t you support her?”
For him, supporting Joana is a natural part of their partnership, and he believes that his public display of solidarity helps strengthen their growing influence as a power couple.
“We support each other, so I’m supporting my wife 100 percent, and she knows my support is being seen by a lot of people,” he remarked.
Keche Andrew was also quick to praise Joana’s dedication to philanthropy, long before she began her political journey.
Through her foundation, Joana has been paying school fees for about 17 students at the tertiary level, many of whom are enrolled at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).
Keche proudly mentioned, “She singlehandedly took care of these students even before contesting for a parliamentary seat. If she’s able to do this now, imagine what she could accomplish with more resources as an MP.”
He emphasized his gratitude for having such a remarkable woman by his side, adding that her dedication to community service shows her capability to take on greater responsibilities as a lawmaker.
According to him, her proven commitment to education and helping those in need makes her a worthy candidate, and he believes she will have an even greater impact if elected.
Joana Gyan Cudjoe, a businesswoman and philanthropist, has garnered support in her bid to represent the people of Amenfi Central.
