Davido and Sophia Momodu are currently in a dispute over the custody of their daughter, Aurora Imade Adeleke.

In a recent post on X, Davido expressed his emotional distress over Sophia Momodu bringing up the death of his son with Chioma, Ifeanyi Adeleke, in their conflict.

This came after Sophia Momodu stated in her affidavit that she does not believe Davido is fit to co-parent with her and therefore should not have custody of their daughter.

Sophia claimed in a court document obtained that Davido had lost his son, Ifeanyi, in his home under unfortunate and questionable circumstances, which she argued made him unfit to have custody of their daughter.

Momodu had argued: “The Applicant is an artist who always travels around the world as mandated by his career and cannot possibly be with our daughter at crucial times.

“The Applicant is married to another woman, and they live together. The proper upbringing of our daughter by another cannot be guaranteed.

“The fact that the Applicant lost his son in his house in rather unfortunate and questionable circumstances shows that our daughter cannot be placed in the custody of the Applicant.”

In reply, Davido stated that their daughter would one day learn the truth, reminding Sophia that she would not remain a child forever.

He said Imade would grow up to the truth that he fought for her. He stated:

“Your constantly bringing up the death of my child at any point u can to just remind us of this tragedy that haunts us everyday of our lives ..

“Imade will grow up to see I fought for her .. as for now u can have her .. P.S she won’t be a child forever .. enjoy ❤️ Imade Aurora Adeleke ! Your father loves you!”
