King Paluta has humbly recognized the significant influence Shatta Wale has had on his career, identifying the Kumerican invasion as a pivotal moment in his journey.
During an appearance on Kwaku Sintim Misa’s renowned KSM show, Paluta discussed his ascent to fame and various aspects of his professional journey.
The current New Artiste of the Year at the 2024 Ghana Music Awards expressed that Shatta Wale serves as his Godfather, and he values the guidance and connection they share, which have played a crucial role in elevating his profile in the industry.
“Shatta Wale is a Godfather. I met Shatta Wale in 2020 when the Kumerica vibe was happening. Shatta Wale came to Kumasi, and we did the Kumerican invasion.
“That is when we met. When you meet an elder, he will always give you a piece of advice to keep. I really appreciate people. There are some people who would not have even appreciated Shatta Wale.”
The artist expressed his gratitude to Shatta Wale for providing him with valuable exposure by including him and several prominent rappers from Kumasi in his 2020 hit single, Ahodwo Las Vegas.
“I feel like Shatta Wale did what he could do to help me. I just give Shatta Wale the respect. I am just thankful to Shatta Wale for giving me that opportunity. I needed that vibe at that time so big shoutouts to Shatta Wale for that. That is why I mention his name wherever I go. I appreciate Shatta Wale.”
