Fa No Fom hitmaker, DJ Azonto, has firmly stated that Shatta Wale has ‘no size’ in the music industry, following his recent performance in Akropong, located in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
DJ Azonto whose real name is Mark Kwesi Arthur further ignited debate by claiming that Wale’s concert in Akropong surpassed the Ridge Condos event in Kumasi in terms of scale and quality.
Moreover, the singer who has captured attention with a few tracks that have struck a chord with partygoers, remarked that Wale’s performance at the event is unmatched when compared to the other artists featured at the now famous all-black party held at Ridge Condos in Kumasi just days prior.
In an interview, DJ Azonto expressed his admiration for Shatta Wale’s stage presence, asserting that he continues to be a significant figure in the Ghanaian music scene.
“If you put all the artists in Ghana, Shatta Wale is second to none. Even though he was not at Ridge Condos, his music was still jamming at the event. I mean, this is someone that a young artist should emulate because he is a blessing to the music industry.
“The turnout at the Akropong concert was massive, and I am glad I supported the show, and I am very proud of him,” he said.
DJ Azonto disclosed how he took a convoy of more than 20 cars to the concert, stressing the need for Ghanaian artists to support each other when it comes to concerts.
“It’s about time we support one another when it comes to showing appearances. It drives the need for love for the industry to thrive and stop hating each other’s success,” he said.
