Rapper Tulenkey has expressed his admiration for Shatta Wale, highlighting that Wale’s style of Dancehall closely resembles the authentic sound of Jamaican music.
Tulenkey mentioned that among the various genres Wale explores, including Afropop, Dancehall, Reggae, and Afrobeats, it is the Dancehall genre that resonates with him the most.
He shared that he frequently listens to Shatta Wale’s Dancehall tracks while with friends, and when others fail to recognize the artist behind the music, he takes pride in informing them that it is indeed Wale’s work.
The Biibi Ba rhymer emphasized that Shatta Wale is a distinctive artist whose genuine sound distinguishes him from other competitors in the African Dancehall scene.
“I enjoy Shatta Wale’s dancehall songs. I think he is the closest thing to a pure dancehall artist in Africa,” he said in a video shared on Tiktok by Pluzz FM.
As expected, music fans gathered in large numbers to express their views on the topic, particularly in light of the rivalry between Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale, which was evident in the discussion.
