Sarkodie’s Charging Fee Opened My Eyes—Fancy Gadam

Fancy Gadam recently shared an interesting revelation about the impact of Sarkodie’s brand and his charging fees on his career.

During an interview on Majority Radio in Tamale, the Ghanaian singer and dancer, known as the pride of the North, disclosed that when he booked Sarkodie for a show in 2017 at the Tamale Sports Stadium, he was charged a staggering GHC 120,000. This experience made him realize the value of his brand and prompted him to reassess his worth within the music industry.

As a result of this eye-opening event, Fancy Gadam made a conscious decision to set his performance fee at no less than GH¢100,000. This deliberate choice signifies a turning point in his career, as he now places a higher value on his talent and performance.

He emphasized how this realization has caused him to reevaluate his contributions to the music scene and has given him a newfound appreciation for his worth. Fancy Gadam’s revelation serves as an inspiring example of the positive impact collaborations with established artists can have on an artist’s profile.

It not only elevates their status but also helps them understand and appreciate their value within the industry.

In a surprising revelation, he disclosed, “My show with Sarkodie at Tamale Sports Stadium, we paid him GH¢120,000, and that day I realized my value. I never knew it.”
