In a recent interview with Yao Mawutor Fianu on Class 91.3 FM, Reggie Rockstone commended Sarkodie’s strong work ethic and shed light on the current state of Ghanaian music following the Play Ghana Initiative.

Rockstone emphasized the incredible persistence of Sarkodie, exemplified by his annual Raperholic concert, which contributes to the vibrancy of entertainment in Ghana .

Contrary to the belief that Ghanaian music is struggling, Rockstone pointed out that numerous songs from Ghana have gained international recognition.

He specifically mentioned Patapaa’s viral hit “One Corner” as evidence, further highlighting Sarkodie’s unwavering dedication to his craft through consistent music releases and exceptional annual shows.

”In spite of it all, it is music that’s kept smiles on our faces, not giving music and its makers their due place and honour.

“Sarkodie constantly keeping it up… Rapperholic… This… He’s doing that.

“This boy! How old is he? He’s working like a slave,” Rockstone exclaimed in admiration.

Reggie Rockstone also saluted “Medikal, Stonebwoy,” and others, asking that “we push them” upwards and abroad.

Sarkodie is currently preparing for his highly anticipated annual event, Rapperholic, which is dedicated to his loyal fans and attracts partygoers from all over the country.

This year’s edition, titled “The Rebirth,” will take place on December 25, 2023, at the prestigious Grand Arena in Accra, Ghana. At this time, the lineup of artists who will be joining the acclaimed African rap star on stage remains undisclosed.

Rapperholic Concert 2023

Over the past decade, Rapperholic, spearheaded by King Sark has become the must-attend event for rap enthusiasts throughout Ghana, with eager anticipation building each year.

Notable artists such as KiDi, Fameye, Black Sherif, Obrafour, Kofi Jamar, Adina, Darkovibes, Sefa, Gyakie, Epixode, and Jamaica’s Kranium, among others, have graced the Rapperholic stage in the past.

Sarkodie was in the news not too long ago when he took to Facebook to reveal his near-death experience with other passengers onboard Delta Airlines while he was on his way to Detroit for a show.
