Ghanaian rap icon Okyeame Kwame, widely celebrated for his lyrical prowess and vibrant influence in Ghanaian music, revealed that despite fan anticipation, he and Sarkodie—another leading figure in Ghana’s rap scene—have yet to collaborate.
Many fans of Ghanaian music have long speculated on what a team-up between the “Rap Doctor” Okyeame Kwame and Sarkodie, often hailed as a king in Ghana’s rap world, could bring. Yet, for reasons not entirely clear, the much-hoped-for collaboration remains a dream.
According to Okyeame, fans frequently reach out to him, asking when he and Sarkodie will finally make music together.

Host Andy Dosty added insight from Sarkodie himself, revealing that Sarkodie envisions a full album together with Okyeame Kwame rather than just a single song.
Dosty noted that Sarkodie, aware of Okyeame’s legendary contributions to Ghanaian music, wants to approach a potential project with him as something comprehensive, rather than a one-off track.
Okyeame Kwame responded with humility and warmth, sharing that while he’s aware of Sarkodie’s interest in a full project, he believes starting with a single collaboration might be more practical to gauge how their creative energies align.
“I think we should give the fans a song first,” Okyeame suggested thoughtfully, acknowledging the genuine eagerness from fans to hear what their two unique styles would sound like together.
