Sarkodie was chosen to represent Ghana in the annual Hennessy Rap Cypher held in Nigeria.
The event, which started in 2009, brings together top MCs from across Africa to display their musical skills and entertain fans worldwide with a variety of musical styles.
Recently, videos of Sarkodie and his team travelling from Ghana to Nigeria were shared on social media.
This year’s cypher included Sarkodie from Ghana, Kaligraph Jones from Kenya, Ladipoe from Nigeria, M.I from Nigeria, and other renowned rappers from the continent.
In other Sarkodie news, the rapper recently posted a video on Facebook chronicling his evolution from a budding artist to the successful brand he is today.
Widely regarded as the top rapper in Ghana and Africa by experts and fans alike, Sarkodie said he hopes his story will motivate others to strive for greatness. Sharing the video, he said:
“From 2010 to now, the journey has been a testament to consistency and resilience. Let my story be a beacon of inspiration for you to keep pushing forward. The grind never stops. Greatness awaits!”
