Sarkodie Doesn’t Deserve This- Kafui Dey

Host of the revamped GTV Breakfast show, Kafui Dey has bemoaned the hateful remarks being targetted at Sarkodie over his famous feature on Bob Marley’s ‘Stir It Up’ remix.

Dey, in the recent edition of the Breakfast show, slammed Ghanaians for passing derogatory comments about Sarkodie’s input on the evergreen song which was brought alive when the management of the late iconic singer Bob Marley contacted the Ghanaian rapper to hop on the collab.

Kafui Dey expressed his disgust by saying;

“Sarkodie was contacted by the record label Island Records to perform a feature on this 50-year-old classic. There has been a lot of hatred as well as love, and I don’t even comprehend the hate. Most of the hatred originates in Ghana.

I visited YouTube only to check what people were saying and from where they were saying it.

It’s not about the illiterate remarks on Sarkodie’s ghostly video. This is a commercial transaction; Island Records contacts the musician and arranges the collaboration. Ghana-Jamaica relations extend beyond music. “Let’s help our own people; all this pointless conflict is useless,” he said.

Similarly, Samini had said Sarkodie did his best on the song contrary to the low opinion being expressed by Ghanaians over the feature. He was however quick to add that he prefers the original version to this one. He stated;

“It’s a nice jam…I’m not too amazed tho cus it’s a song I love from time. I think he did his thing on the rap still. I mean it’s sark. You’d expect him to kill his verses at least. In my opinion, he did. I still love the original track though. Nothing beats that,” Samini posted;
