An emotional Sandra Ababio has mentioned the names of two mainstream Ghanaian celebs who turned her life around when she appeared on the recent edition of the Delay Show hosted by the indefatigable Deloris Frimpong Manso (Delay).
When the actress came on Delay’s show on September 3rd, she acknowledged that both Delay and Lil Win had significant impact on the development of her profession. She acknowledged meeting Delay as a significant turning point in her life and credited their constant support and mentorship for her climb to fame.
“The next major step in my life was when I met you. I don’t know if you remember. You told me I was beautiful and that was when you were shooting Afia Schwarzenegger. I told you I was interested, and you asked me to get in touch and gave me a role to play.
“I came on set and things started picking up for me. After that, we went on set to shoot a TV commercial, and I met Lil Win too and started getting the spotlight in the Kumawood industry.
“You were the game-changer for me. Your guidance and mentorship were invaluable. You saw potential in me and gave me the platform to showcase my talent on the TV show. That exposure opened doors for me and helped me gain recognition in the industry,” Sandra said during the interview.
Sandra Ababio has solidified her position as one of Ghana’s most brilliant actresses with a growing list of hit films and a devoted fan base. Several films, including Nipa Hu Ye Hu, Sika Kyere Nipa Suban, and Nea Di Makyi, have featured the actress. As a result, she also thanked Lil Win, with whom she has worked on a number of projects.
“Working with Lil Win was a fantastic experience. His humour and talent are infectious, and I learned a lot from him. He encouraged me to push my boundaries and explore different genres, which ultimately contributed to my growth as an actress,” she said.
