Samini was recently interviewed by Saddick Adams aka Sports Obama and he spoke at length about issues concerning his brand, the music industry and the inspiration behind his Linda song.

Linda was Samini’s (then known as Batman’s) first hit song, ushering in a plethora of multiple hit songs he has garnered under his repertoire so far in the music industry.

The song was the toast of party revellers and was played across the length and breadth of the country. While in the studios of Angel FM, the production of which was also streamed on the TV station and social media platforms, the legendary Dancehall and Reggae specialist provided insight to fans on what inspired him to produce the Linda song.

When Sports Obama asked him who Linda was, denoting if she was a real character or fictitious, Samini responded by saying Linda was an imaginary character he created so he could synchronize with his rhyme scheme.

According to him, his rhyme pattern demanded that he use the name, Linda, stressing that the name had no bearing on any person he knew personally. He revealed that it was after the song became a hit that a female named Linda became his girlfriend.

Watch the footage below detailing all that he said.

Samini recently achieved a major milestone by graduating from his studies at the acclaimed GIMPA Business School.

Samini gained international recognition when he won the 2006 MOBO Award for “Best African Talent.” After putting out his second album titled album, “Samini.” He won three awards at the 2007 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

Samini received “African Artiste of the Year” at The Headies in February 2008. In 2008, his third studio album, “Dagaati,” was released.

After releasing his seventh studio album, “Untamed,” on December 22, 2018, he won the Reggaeville 2018 Album of the Year award.

Some time ago, the musician stated that he was taking a break from music because he had finished his Project Management degree and was preparing for his graduation ceremony. Samini spent four years at GIMPA, and during that time he was chosen president of the Student Representative Council (SRC) .
