Sally Mann Tears People Down, Not Helps the Industry – Ghanaian artiste

An up-and-coming artiste has openly criticized Sally Mann, a prominent and often controversial entertainment pundit, accusing her of unjustly targeting hardworking musicians with overly harsh commentary.

The artiste, in a fiery interview, questioned Sally’s qualifications to evaluate the industry, saying, “Sally Mann is too quick to judge musicians without understanding what goes into their craft.

She has no formal music background, so what gives her the authority to critique the work of industry professionals?”

Sally Mann, however, remains unapologetic. Known for her blunt style, she has often ruffled feathers with her take-no-prisoners approach to industry commentary.

“I’m a fearless advocate for truth,” she stated defiantly in response to the artiste’s remarks. “This industry is filled with hypocrisy, and someone has to tell it like it is.”

Her critiques have not been limited to rising talents. High-profile figures such as Shatta Wale have also been subjects of her bold assessments, which often ignite significant public discourse.

Defending her position, Sally added, “When I speak, it’s not personal. My critiques are rooted in truth and careful observation. If people can’t handle honesty, then maybe they shouldn’t be in the public eye.”

The upcoming artiste was unrelenting in his counterarguments, accusing Sally of hypocrisy. “Instead of supporting or offering constructive feedback, she tears people down. That’s not helping the industry; it’s hypocrisy,” he fired back.

The artiste argued that pundits like Sally should use their platforms to nurture talent rather than create division with what he perceives as personal attacks.

Despite the backlash, Sally Mann insists her opinions are necessary for an industry in need of critical voices.

“I don’t need a music degree to see what’s happening,” she said, shrugging off the criticisms of her qualifications.

“My voice is important because I say what others are afraid to say.”
