During an exclusive interview with Joy News, Safo Newman provided insight into the underlying motivation behind his popular track, Akokoa.

Newman draws inspiration from the unfortunate reality of children enduring mistreatment at the hands of unkind adults.

Through his song, he skillfully portrays the stark contrast between the hardships faced by orphaned individuals and the nurturing environment typically experienced by children with biological parents.

The budding artiste highlights that the song’s inspiration stems from the challenges experienced by individuals going through comparable difficulties. In terms of the music’s triumph, Newman credits it to a blend of dedication and spiritual guidance.

Newman explains, “It reflects the conditions of homes across our country, depicting the lives of children who go to live with others and are treated differently from their own.”

“I have witnessed others in such situations. While I haven’t personally experienced it, as an artist, music serves as a voice with a distinct perspective. Artists perceive things differently than non-artists.”

As he aptly puts it, “The success is a result of my dedication and the influence of God on my journey.”

Safo Newman has quickly gained recognition and praise from both music enthusiasts and the general public, positioning him as a rising star in the industry.

His compositions have been lauded for their relatability, effectively capturing the essence of his song’s themes. Notably, renowned Ghanaian celebrities, such as Sarkodie, have shared videos featuring one of his tracks.

Safo Newman’s remarkable skill and seamless delivery have resonated with listeners, leading to his songs dominating various social media platforms. Particularly, one of his compositions, which boldly addresses the perspectives of Christians and followers of other religions, has struck a chord with Ghanaians, who find it highly relatable.

Days ago, Sarkodie who was impressed with the track, shared and endorsed it on his social media platform while acknowledging his musical prowess.

Sarkodie wrote, “All Boxes ticked! Now that’s real talent. I felt you a 1000 percent.”

Yaw Boadu-Ayeboafoh, a talent manager and music executive, evaluated the young musician as well.

“At first sight, I saw a talent that could serve a largely unserved market since our oldies began to not release so much music. He has great vocal delivery and his lyrics are relatable.”
