Respect, Integrity, and Godliness Should Define Leadership – Amoabeng Advocates

Renowned author, businessman, and philanthropist, Prince Kofi Amoabeng, has emphasized the critical need for value-driven leadership to address Ghana’s pressing challenges and foster sustainable national development.

Speaking on The Point of View on Channel One TV, Amoabeng stressed that leadership should not merely be about occupying positions of power but about cultivating the right mindset and principles that genuinely serve the people.

“What we need as a country is leadership with the right values,” he stated.

According to him, the nation’s problems persist because there has not been a deliberate effort to nurture leaders who are capable of solving them. He pointed out that real progress would only be achieved when Ghana consciously grooms leaders with a problem-solving mentality.

“When you see your problems and you want to solve them, you must create the people who will solve them. We are not creating the leaders who can solve our problems,” he lamented.

Amoabeng, widely respected for his disciplined approach to leadership and business ethics, further highlighted the core values that should define effective leadership.

“If you don’t have the right values with leadership, you are not going to benefit your people. Respect for everybody, respect for time, respect for systems, love for people, and being God-fearing—those are my values,” he asserted.
