Veteran gospel musician, Noble Nketsiah has revealed to Emelia Brobbey on the Okukuseku show how he was saved by a mentally challenged individual after being poisoned while staying at a hotel.
He hinted that a fellow gospel musician, who was envious of his success, was behind the poisoning incident.
According to Noble, the jealousy stemmed from an interview they both attended at an FM station in Obuasi, where callers praised him and ignored the other artists present.
This incident fueled animosity between them.
“I went for a programme in Obuasi. Before that programme, I went for an interview at Obuasi, and at that time, I was very popular, so anyone who called while the show was going on wanted to speak with me. Also, I was at the radio station with my other colleagues in the industry, who got jealous because the callers didn’t recognise their presence,” he told the host.
He added that he returned to his hotel room and requested a meal. Afterwards, he heard a commotion outside his room and went out to investigate the cause, only to discover that a stranger had thrown away his food.
The musician shared that during the commotion, he observed that the colour of his food had altered, leading him to suspect that his food had been tampered with and that the stranger had actually saved him.
“I went back to my hotel to prepare for the programme that made me travel to Obuasi. I ordered food before going to freshen up. I was in the bathroom when I heard noises in the hotel’s parlour.
“I went out to find out what was happening. Not knowing, a mentally ill person had entered the hotel and poured the food I ordered away. Amidst the commotion, the colour of my food changed. My food was poisoned,” he added.
