Flo Rida has shared his plans for how he wants to spend his $82 million after winning his lawsuit against the energy drink manufacturer Celsius.

The “Right Round” rapper was interviewed by TMZ as they were both passing through an airport on Wednesday, February 8 to discuss the significant victory. Flo made it plain that he had the choice of quitting even before the courts triumph when asked if he was planning to retire now that he was that much wealthier.

“Prior to this, I could [retire] just with the music alone,” he said. “You know, just being in control of my music and things like that but I’m not surprised because of the work I put in to help make this successful. You know people see the now but imagine the work I put in. I had faith and I knew this would happen. So I mean, it’s nothing new for me – it’s new for everybody else.”

But instead of retiring, he plans to focus more on his philanthropic efforts more than ever – especially with his Big Dreams For Kids charity and youth football league. “Being out here in L.A., I actually brought some of the kids out here to L.A. with Snoop. Shout out to Snoop,” Flo said.

“Those are the things I’m excited about. I get two-for-one traveling to the most beautiful places in the world. I’ll go and do shows, but I’ll stay there and enjoy myself. So now, it’s just like, think about generational wealth and how I can just continue to open doors for other people.” He continued: “Just investing in the kids.

That’s to infinity! When you invest in the future, you can’t even imagine what the future will be like because some of these kids that we’re working with – I’m pretty sure they’ll be doctors, they’ll be lawyers, basketball players, football, etc. Just like myself – when I was a kid, different professionals came to my projects fortunately and they just gave a word.

Those words helped changed my life and gave me hope, so that’s my investment: the kids.” As for Celsius, Flo Rida said there are no hard feelings at all and in fact, he’s still an owner and still has the energy drinks on his tour rider. “This isn’t nothing about Celsius being bad,” he said.

“It’s about good business. I’m a God-fearing person. I’m a forgiving person and I just look forward to them getting the business right and understanding that I played a major part.

This is not one-dimensional. It takes a team to do certain things, but I was that person that gave Celsius the opportunity of a lifetime.”
