In new entertainment news, Eno Barony has emphasized her rap credentials, asserting that the rap history in Ghana would be incomplete without her name.
During an interview with Amansan Krakye on Cape Coast Property FM, Barony expressed her respect for the veterans in the industry who paved the way for contemporary rappers like herself.
She also emphasized her significant contribution to the genre’s sustainability and her own reputation, highlighting her skill and talent.
Her remarks were in response to the recent compilation of the greatest rappers of all time by Graphic Showbiz, a subsidiary of Graphic Communication Group Limited, which included her name among the elites.
Eno Barony, who came in at number 10 on the list, stated that she was not surprised to see her name on the list, attributing it to her significant contributions to Ghanaian rap music.
“I’m not surprised that my name was included in the list of the greatest rappers in Ghana because the likes of Obrafour have left a very big legacy in Ghana.
“Reggie Rockstone, Okyeame Kwame, and others have all left a big legacy, and I’ve also left my legacy, especially when you talk about rap music in Ghana,” she added.
Speaking further, she said, “The history I have set and the records I have made as a female rapper are going to be on the lips of everybody forever, and you can never mention rap music without my name.”
Reflecting on her achievements, she concluded, “With the things that I have done in the music scene, I’m not really surprised that Graphic Showbiz included my name in their list of the 12 greatest rappers in the history of Ghana.”
