Quavo has released another Takeoff tribute track, this one seemingly capping off the Migos legacy while paying tribute to his late nephew.
The renowned rapper released a new song and video titled “Greatness” on Wednesday. The video features clips of him playing basketball with Cordae, behind-the-scenes footage from his recent Grammys tribute, and shots of Takeoff from the group’s early days.
Later in the song, Quavo addresses the Migos’ future: “Came in, swept the game like a storm with the muthafing flow, na, Take did that/ So don’t ask about the group, he gone, we gone, young n***a it can’t come back, damn!”
He also lifts the chain that everyone in the group bought to mark the release of “Culture III” in 2021.
Fans are not surprised by the group’s dissolution, especially in light of the news about Quavo and Offset fighting backstage before the Takeoff tribute at the Grammys.
