Chris Brown and Quavo find themselves engaged in a lyrical feud, with the root cause being none other than Karrueche Tran.
Both renowned artists had a romantic involvement with the socialite and actress, but it was Chris Brown who took issue with Quavo dating his former flame. Initially, Brown took a subtle jab at Quavo through a song, and now Quavo is retaliating.
Surprising his fans on April 12, the Migos rapper released a new track titled “Tender.” Produced by Atake, Sluzyyy & JW Lucas, Quay-Z wastes no time diving into the subject matter, seemingly alluding to Brown’s past relationship with Tran and his history of domestic violence.
“You did the bitch wrong and now the bitch gone, she posted with a thug,” Quavo raps. “Call the bitch phone, she won’t come home, don’t beat her up/It must be the drugs, need to cross out your plug.”
“Tell me, lil’ bro, what’s your issue? It’s over a thot,” Quavo continues in the second verse. “You said that it’s bigger than that, but no, it is not/It’s ’cause I be diggin’ in that (Ya dig?), it got ’em hot.”
Quavo’s reply was received a day later following Chris Brown’s direct criticism towards him on the extended edition of his latest album 11:11.
CB unveiled his fresh joint effort with Lil Wayne, Tee Grizzley, and Joyner Lucas titled “Freak,” incorporating elements from Nelly’s “Air Force Ones.” In his verse, Brown referred to Quavo’s connection with Tran and asserted that it does not place them on an equal footing.
“Okay, now f**kin’ my old b***hes ain’t gon’ make us equal,” Brown raps. “Sippin’ that 1942 ’cause I don’t do no Cuervo/Freak b***h, she like Casamigos, not the Migos.”
Chris Brown and Quavo have a longstanding feud dating back to 2017, fueled by rumours involving Quavo and Karrueche.
Their conflicts have persisted over the years, with a notable incident occurring earlier this year at an event during Paris Fashion Week where they were seated next to each other.
Despite some fans hoping for reconciliation, Chris Brown made it evident that their differences were far from resolved.
““Can’t pick who you sit by,” he wrote on Instagram. “F**k all that growth s**t. N***a not finna fumble my bag for little n****s.”
Tran started a romantic relationship with Chris Brown in November 2010. Their relationship hit a rough patch when Brown got back together with his ex-girlfriend, singer Rihanna.
However, after Rihanna’s relationship ended, Tran and Brown got back together. Unfortunately, they eventually broke up in March 2015 when it was discovered that Brown had fathered a child with another woman.
In contrast, Quavo dated the actress and former stylist in 2017.
