The family of Bishop Salifu Amoako has stated to clarify the distressing events surrounding a tragic accident involving their son, Elrad Amoako, which claimed the lives of two individuals over the weekend.
Prophet Kumchacha, speaking on behalf of the family, stated that Elrad was not permitted to drive the car involved in the incident, emphasizing the family’s shock and grief over the loss of life.
In an interview, Kumchacha recounted the circumstances leading up to the accident. “It was during my elder brother’s birthday celebration when Elrad approached my mother’s maid, who was holding the keys to her Jaguar.
He asked her for the keys, saying he needed the car to change his attire and would be back shortly,” he explained. Tragically, Elrad took the car for a joyride, resulting in a horrific accident that no one could have anticipated.
The aftermath of the accident has sparked significant public outcry, with many calling for Elrad’s parents to be held accountable for the tragedy. However, Kumchacha made it clear that the family did not know Elrad’s intentions.
“We had no idea he would take the car. This was not something we condoned,” he asserted, urging the public to understand that this was an unforeseen circumstance and not a reflection of the family’s values.
“We are heartbroken by the outcome of this situation. Our prayers are with everyone affected by this tragedy,” Kumchacha added, calling for compassion during this difficult time.
