Prophet Kumchacha has expressed his concern about the current economic challenges in the country, attributing them to Nana Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
He noted that the financial difficulties have even impacted the contributions of Christians in churches, citing a decrease in offerings and tithes.
The founder and leader of Heaven’s Gate Ministries emphasized that the lack of funds among Christians is a result of the policies implemented by Akufo-Addo and Bawumia.
This statement was featured in a video posted by Twitter blogger Edhub.
He began by expressing his concern about the fact that his congregation was giving coins and 1 cedi notes as offerings, stating that this practice could hinder the church’s growth if they continued to offer small amounts.
He said, “Today is July 28, 2024, and today, we were not able to collect any offerings at all. Most of you gave coins and 1 Ghana cedi note as offerings. With these kinds of offerings, how do we expect the church to grow? How can we sustain and grow the work of God with these meagre amounts of money?”
He proceeded to mention that the responsibility for the low offerings lies solely with the members, while also attributing the poor economic state of the country to the government, which in turn makes it challenging for church members to contribute significantly.
“The truth is, I don’t blame you too much. I blame Nana Addo and Bawumia. I, Prophet Kumchacha, don’t blame anyone; I will give all the blame to them. If you look into this offering bowl, you will only find coins; even the notes in it are just a handful. I blame the president and his vice. The economy is bad, and everyone is suffering,” Prophet Kumchacha told his congregation.
