President John Dramani Mahama will step into the spotlight this Wednesday, September 10, 2025, for a much-anticipated media encounter at Jubilee House.
The session, set for 8:00 p.m., will give the President a chance to speak directly to Ghanaians about his “Resetting Ghana” agenda while also updating the nation on key government projects.
According to a statement from the Presidency, spokesperson and Minister for Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, emphasized that the event isn’t just about speeches. It will also allow journalists to put their questions directly to the President on a wide range of issues — from the economy and energy to infrastructure and social interventions.
“This encounter provides a unique opportunity for President Mahama to engage the Ghanaian people, through the media, on pressing national issues and his government’s ongoing policies and projects,” the statement noted.
Because of the high profile of the event, access will be strictly by accreditation, and media houses have been urged to follow the laid-down procedures to secure slots for their representatives. All accredited journalists are expected to be seated by 7:30 p.m. ahead of the official start.
This will be President Mahama’s first major open forum with the press since the beginning of his current term, and expectations are high that tough questions will be asked and candid answers given.
