In today’s entertainment news, rapper Sarkodie has shared his belief in the efficacy of prayer, highlighting that his conviction stems from his own experiences with God and the fulfilment of his prayers.
In a recent post on Twitter, now referred to as X, the revered Ghanaian artist conveyed his appreciation for the blessings he has received through prayer, acknowledging that while responses may sometimes be delayed, his achievements are a testament to the strength of faith.
Sarkodie encouraged his fans and followers to persist in their prayers and maintain their faith, underscoring that God listens and answers every prayer, no matter how long it may take.
“I keep getting all I pray for … sometimes it takes time but eventually I get it! God is powerful and he’s always listening. Keep praying and have belief,” Sarkodie wrote on X.

Meanwhile, GhanaStreetJournal reported that Sarkodie is facing backlash from the New Ghana Social Justice Forum, a social justice and human rights group, who have petitioned the French National Olympic and Sports Committee to bar him from performing at the Africa Fan Zone.
The group’s primary concern is Sarkodie’s alleged derogatory remarks about women, which they view as indicative of misogyny.
Citing instances such as his disrespectful references to Yvonne Nelson in the song ‘Try Me’ and Krobo women in the track ‘Jennifer Lomotey’ with Kurl Songx, the group argues that Sarkodie’s history of disrespect towards women disqualifies him from participating in the Africa Fan Zone event scheduled for August 9, 2024, at the Stade Robert Cesar in France.
“Honouring Sarkodie with the stage at Africa Fan Zone raises concerns, particularly for women. Sarkodie’s past actions, such as labelling actress Yvonne Nelson a prostitute who belongs to the streets in response to her memoir ‘I Am Not Yvonne Nelson,’ are troubling,” 3News quoted the group as saying.
