Nigerian actress Iyabo Ojo has always been a strong believer in the power of words, and now, as her daughter, Priscilla Ojo, becomes engaged at the age of 23, those words have come to life.

Priscilla, a rising star in her own right, is now set to marry Tanzanian singer Juma Jux, whose full name is Juma Mussa Mkambala. This news comes as a fulfilment of a dream that Iyabo Ojo had for her daughter when she was still in her early twenties.

Back in 2021, Iyabo, during a heartfelt birthday message to Priscilla, had openly expressed her wishes for her daughter’s future.

“I want you to be engaged at 23, married at 24, and have your first child at 25,” she had said to Priscilla in a video that has now gone viral. Fast forward a couple of years, and her aspirations have manifested with Priscilla’s engagement at the age of 23.

During a recent live interview, Iyabo reflected on this milestone, expressing her pride in seeing her daughter’s life unfolding as she had hoped.

“Power lies in the tongue,” she said, emphasizing the importance of speaking your desires into existence. It’s clear that this belief is not just a personal mantra for Iyabo Ojo but also a value she’s instilled in her daughter.

While some may see this as a coincidence, Iyabo is firm in her conviction that positive affirmation can shape one’s reality. She added, “I’ve always said I wanted my daughter to marry early, and now it’s happening.”

This turn of events shows just how powerful the relationship between a mother’s dreams for her daughter and the reality of those dreams coming true can be.

For Iyabo Ojo, it’s not only a moment of celebration but a reaffirmation of her belief that the words we speak have the power to shape the course of our lives.

Iyabo Ojo is a prominent Nigerian actress, filmmaker, and entrepreneur, widely recognized for her contributions to the Nigerian film industry, also known as Nollywood.

Born on December 21, 1977, in Lagos State, Nigeria, her full name is Alice Iyabo Ojo. She is known for her powerful performances in Yoruba-language films and is one of the most successful and influential actresses in Nollywood.

Iyabo Ojo began her acting career in the 1990s, initially featuring in small roles before making a name for herself in the Yoruba film industry.

Her breakout role came in the 1998 film Satanic which catapulted her to fame. Over the years, she has acted in and produced numerous films, gaining a reputation for her versatility and ability to portray complex characters.
