Nigerian singer Portable has taken to social media to break his silence hours after being arrested for allegedly failing to pay a debt related to a vehicle purchase.
The singer was seen in a video being pursued by police officers as he tried to scale a fence and attempted to flee.
Despite the challenging situation, Portable expressed his faith in God in an Instagram post the following day.
He wrote; “God is bigger than everything. Amen if you believe so. God over everything.”
In a related development, an earlier report has surfaced, providing additional details about the earlier reported incident involving Portable’s failure to comply with his bail conditions shortly after his arrest.
According to Benjamin Hudenyin, the spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, the musician was unable to secure a surety, resulting in his continued detention until he can do so.
Hudenyin elaborated that Portable had only paid N13 million out of the total N27 million for the car, and he has adamantly refused to settle the remaining N14 million balance.
Furthermore, the police spokesperson alleged that whenever the car dealer reached out to the music star regarding the outstanding payment, he consistently argued that the vehicle was defective.
