TruNews has obtained a photo capturing the final burial rites of the renowned businesswoman Aunti Muni, who passed away in the early hours of today, January 2024.

According to Islamic customs and traditions, she was laid to rest today. The relatives and Muslim community congregated at the Cantonments Police Mosque to partake in prayers and bid their last goodbyes to the esteemed vendor of waakye.

Tru News Report had earlier reported that the tragedy happened at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) in Accra after a short illness.

In an interview on the Asaase Breakfast Show on Wednesday morning, the family formally revealed the devastating news to Asaase Radio. Arafat, Auntie Muni’s son, has announced that her funeral will happen in Tamale today.

“Mummy was sick; she was complaining of leg pain. So we took her to the SNNIT Hospital … there was complications, so she asked that they discharge her.”

“When they discharged her, after two days, we realised she was still not feeling well. So we rushed her to the University of Ghana Medical Centre for medical attention and this morning at 3am she passed away,” Arafat said.
