Peller’s Comments Show Lack of Common Sense – Kobe Boujee Fires Back at TikTok Star

Nigerian TikTok personality, Peller, has ignited a wave of backlash after making derogatory remarks about Ghanaians during a live session on the social media platform.

The comments, though not fully captured in the reviewed clip, featured a bold statement that many Ghanaians found disrespectful.

In the video, Peller claimed that even Shatta Wale, one of Ghana’s top musical exports, would struggle to take a selfie with him upon his arrival in the country.

Peller’s remarks quickly spread across social media, provoking outrage among Ghanaians, who perceived his comments as both insulting and unwarranted.

One of the most vocal responses came from Ghanaian content creator Kobe Boujee, who didn’t mince words in calling out the TikToker’s behaviour.

Kobe, in a video response, sharply criticized Peller, stating, “This isn’t about Nigeria versus Ghana; this is about common sense, something Peller clearly lacks. It’s embarrassing to watch someone who should be building a bridge between our countries act in such a childish manner.”

He went on to express his disappointment with Peller’s remarks, labeling them as a reflection of a deeper problem. “What you said shows a lack of education and wisdom. There’s a difference between being popular online and actually understanding the value of respect,” Kobe added.

While addressing the issue, Kobe Boujee was careful to clarify that his response wasn’t intended to fuel the infamous online rivalry between Ghanaians and Nigerians.

He expressed his respect for Nigerian content creators, emphasizing his admiration for figures like Brain Jotter and Shaggy, whose talents he holds in high regard.

“I have deep respect for Nigerian creators—people like Brain Jotter and Shaggy are doing amazing things. But we must learn to uplift each other, not tear each other down with careless words.”

Ghanaians online echoed Kobe’s sentiments, with many urging for a more respectful and collaborative relationship between creators from both nations.

Some users reminded Peller of Shatta Wale’s influence, arguing that the Ghanaian artist’s global appeal far outweighs the TikTok personality’s claims of superiority.

“Peller needs to understand that Shatta Wale is not just a local star, but a global icon who has collaborated with the likes of Beyoncé. He can’t compare himself to someone who has achieved so much for our country,” one user tweeted.
