Former Member of Parliament for Obuasi East, Edward Ennin, has called on the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to apologize to its former National Chairman, Paul Afoko, insisting that his removal was based on fabricated lies.
“The NPP is aware that they sacked Paul Afoko with lies they fabricated.
“Until they learn and go to him and others they chased from the political party, the NPP will see no progress,” Ennin stated.
He accused the party of unfairly ousting Afoko despite his financial contributions, adding, “Paul Afoko supported the party with his resources, but they fabricated lies to remove him and did not pay a dime he had spent on the political party.”

Ennin maintains that the NPP’s continued struggles stem from its failure to acknowledge past mistakes.
“Until the political party apologizes to Paul Afoko and other members who were chased out, it will continue to suffer,” he warned.
Afoko, along with other party executives, was removed from office in 2015 after being accused of working against the candidacy of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
The party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) at the time issued a statement confirming their dismissal, a decision that sparked divisions within the party.
