Pat Attah has shared for the first time that he and his colleague Genevieve Nnaji, who is held in some breath as the best Nigerian actress over the last couple of decades were involved in a steamy affair years ago.
The handsome Nigerian actor who left the silver screen and relocated abroad said he and Genevieve Nnaji had an affair for 2 years. In a recent interview, Attah said their relationship is a serious one but sadly it ended, albeit not revealing what caused the ‘demise’ of the celebrity relationship.
‘’Ain’t going to lie. We had something serious and for some reason, we had to break up when we had to break up”
When asked how long they were together, he said
‘’I think about two years or almost two years”
Attah said it was not a secret as some people knew they were a couple at the time.
No it wasn’t like a secret something. We went places together. It wasn’t like we were having a fling. We were serious with each other.”
Genevieve Nnaji is a Nigerian actress, producer, and director. She won the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role in 2005, making her the first actor to win the award.
She received recognition from the Nigerian government in 2011 when she was named a Member of the Order of the Federal Republic for her contributions to Nollywood.
Lionheart, her maiden film as a director, is both the first Netflix movie from Nigeria and the nation’s Oscar entry. Due to the majority of the dialogue in the film being in English, it was rejected.
