The drama surrounding Ghana’s religious and political landscapes continues to deepen as new claims emerge about the relationship between two of the country’s most influential pastors, Rev. Owusu-Bempah and Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi.
Popular actor Clement Bonney, known as Mr Beautiful, has dropped yet another bombshell, this time revealing a controversial conversation he claims to have witnessed between the two pastors during Ghana’s 2016 elections.
Speaking on Power FM, Mr Beautiful recounted an incident where Rev. Owusu-Bempah allegedly urged Prophet Badu Kobi to prophesy victory for then-presidential candidate Nana Akufo-Addo.
According to him, Badu Kobi refused, stating that God had not revealed anything about Akufo-Addo’s win.

“In 2016, Rev. Owusu-Bempah told Badu Kobi to prophesy about Akufo-Addo’s victory. But Badu Kobi rejected it, saying God hadn’t revealed anything to him,” Mr Beautiful shared.
The details didn’t end there. Mr Beautiful alleged that Owusu-Bempah, in a bid to secure the prophecy, went as far as suggesting manipulation of the electoral system.
“Owusu-Bempah, however, insisted they could manipulate the system and even access the Electoral Commission’s machines. I was there when it all happened,” Mr Beautiful revealed, leaving listeners stunned.
For those who closely followed the 2016 elections, the victory of Nana Akufo-Addo and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) was seen as a defining political moment.
Rev. Owusu-Bempah, known for his bold prophecies, publicly predicted Akufo-Addo’s win, which many of his followers believed solidified his standing as a man of God.
However, Mr Beautiful’s claims suggest there may have been more to the story than the public saw.
Badu Kobi, on the other hand, chose not to align his spiritual message with political predictions during the period, maintaining his stance that he would only speak what God revealed.
Mr Beautiful further recalled that after Nana Addo’s victory, Prophet Badu Kobi voiced concerns about the choice made by Ghanaians.
“After Nana Addo won the election, Prophet Badu Kobi came out and said Ghanaians would regret their decision after six months,” he recounted.
