Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah, the founder and leader of Glorious Word Power Ministries International, has launched a scathing attack on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, calling him a “wicked man” for failing to fulfil a personal promise.
Addressing his congregation, the controversial preacher revealed that Akufo-Addo had assured him of building his church but never followed through, despite being in power for eight years.
His disappointment was evident as he expressed his frustration over the broken promise, a rare public fallout between the two after years of what seemed like a strong alliance.
What makes Owusu Bempah’s latest remarks even more striking is his unexpected praise for former President John Dramani Mahama.

The preacher, once a staunch critic of Mahama, admitted that he had been misled by NPP’s Ashanti Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi.
He confessed that Wontumi’s influence had shaped his negative perception of Mahama, only for him to realize later that the former president was, in his words, “a good man with a good heart.” His regret was evident as he lamented how misinformation led him to condemn Mahama in the past.
Owusu Bempah’s political involvement has always been a subject of controversy. For years, he was regarded as one of the spiritual pillars behind the NPP, making prophecies that favoured Akufo-Addo’s rise to power and often aligning himself with the ruling party.
His recent outburst signals a dramatic shift and raises questions about what might have triggered the fallout
