Sista Afia has expressed her concern about the significant number of Ghanaians leaving the country due to its declining prospects across various sectors.
During her appearance on the United Showbiz with host MzGee, she recounted her visit to Kotoka International Airport where she observed a large crowd of people leaving the country.
The singer who recently dropped a diss song for her number one foe Efia Odo, lamented the situation, highlighting the lack of support and infrastructure for physically challenged individuals.
Her remarks were prompted by the recent news of some members of the Ghanaian paracycling team, who had travelled to Norway to train for the Fjordkraft Bergen City Marathon, absconding to other Schengen states.
Sista Afia was reacting to the missing Ghanaian paralympic contingent in Oslo.
“I went to pick someone at the airport and when I got to the terminal three, the place was packed with people leaving the country.
The sad reality is these people are not comfortable here and have to leave. Such disabled people will be given a comfortable life abroad.
“They will be fed and taken care off unlike here where they are not well catered for. Such lesser known sports are not given the needed attention. Even Black Princesses had to complain about their bonuses and that is bad,” she said.
