Okomfour Kwadee’s Mother Speaks Out as Veteran Hiplife Star Goes Missing

The once-glorious journey of Okomfour Kwadee, a name that once dominated Ghana’s Hiplife scene, continues to take a worrying turn.

His mother has revealed that she has not seen or heard from him in the past five days, raising concerns about his well-being.

Speaking on United Showbiz with Empress Gifty, she expressed her distress, saying, “I don’t know where my son is. I’ve not seen him for the past five days, and so I’ve informed the police about it, but I’ve not received feedback from them.”

The veteran musician, born Jerry Anaba, has faced public struggles over the years, particularly with mental health and substance-related issues.

His erratic appearances in recent times, often looking dishevelled and singing to himself in the streets, have painted a heartbreaking picture of a man who once ruled Ghanaian music.

A new video circulating on social media only deepened the concern, showing Kwadee in an unkempt state, surrounded by friends as he sang—a stark contrast to the era when he was among the most sought-after artists in the country.

His mother clarified that although they both reside in Kumasi, they live separately.

“I don’t live with Kwadee. We are in Kumasi, but he lives in his house, and I live in mine too. I decided to go and see him in his house, but when I went there, he was nowhere to be found,” she explained.
