Ghanaian media personality Ohemaa Woyeje has made it clear that she does not owe anyone an explanation about her marriage, emphasizing that she chooses to keep her personal life off social media.
Speaking in an interview with Emelia Brobbey, she expressed her views on the public’s interest in personal matters, particularly marriage and divorce.
“Ghanaians like to talk so what I have seen about Ghanaians is that if you give them a chance, they will tell you how to live your life. When I was getting married, I didn’t seek advice from Ghanaians, therefore, if I am to divorce, there is no need to solicit advice from them,” she said.
Ohemaa Woyeje reflected on her mother’s experience with marriage, explaining that despite her parents’ divorce, her mother did not rush into another relationship.

“After 10 years of divorce between my parents, my mother didn’t go in for another man until my father came back for her. If I haven’t seen any marriage at all, I have seen that of my mother. Therefore, I won’t get married with the idea that marriage is a perfect institution,” she stated.
She further highlighted that even if she were to face a divorce, she would not take to social media to discuss it or speak negatively about her husband.
“I have two children with my husband, so even if I get divorced today, there is no reason for me to come online and talk negatively about my husband. That doesn’t mean we have a perfect marriage. It means you are not welcome on issues surrounding my marriages,” she asserted.
