Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has boldly claimed that he now holds the title of the best rapper in Nigeria, surpassing Olamide, whom he acknowledges as the previous top contender.
Speaking on the Afrobeat podcast with Adesope, the “Wotowoto” hitmaker did not shy away from emphasizing his dominance in the hip-hop scene.
“Olamide was the best rapper in Nigeria until I stepped in,” he declared, underlining his confidence in his craft and contribution to the genre.
Odumodublvck also stressed the importance of credibility in the industry, asserting that an artist’s greatness must be backed by solid proof, particularly an album that cements their legacy.

Odumodublvck, whose real name is Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu, is a Nigerian rapper, singer, and songwriter.
Born on October 18, 1993, he grew up in Lagos before moving to Abuja at the age of 17. He attended Christ the King College in Gwagwalada for his secondary education and later obtained a degree in Mass Communications from the University of Lagos.
His stage name, “Odumodublvck,” is inspired by the concept of a masquerade, a symbol of mystique and cultural significance.
His unique fusion of hip-hop with elements of Afrobeats and drill has set him apart in the Nigerian music scene. In 2023, he won “Rookie of the Year” and “Best Rap Single” at the Headies Awards, further cementing his position as one of Nigeria’s top rising artists.
