In addition, the government has tasked the management of AngloGold Ashanti to shoulder the full medical expenses of the injured and facilitate funeral arrangements for the deceased.

The President stressed, “It is the responsibility of AngloGold Ashanti to ensure proper care for those injured and support the bereaved families during this difficult time.”

The security agencies have been charged with restoring peace in the area and implementing measures to prevent similar incidents.

Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the Acting Spokesperson to the President, reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring accountability and order.

“We will not allow such occurrences to undermine the peace and safety of our communities,” he stated.
