Pastor Love, the ex-husband of gospel artist Obaapa Christy, has publicly criticized her following a recent interview in which she revealed the authorship of many of her songs.
He is especially outraged by Obaapa Christy’s implication that he is uneducated and therefore incapable of writing any music for her.
In her interview on Kingdom FM, Obaapa Christy refuted claims that Pastor Love contributed to her popular tracks, asserting that he lacks the literacy skills necessary for songwriting.
However, her former husband departed, hurling insults at her for her misguided remarks.
He asserted that he was the true author of the majority of her successful songs, threatening that due to her refusal to acknowledge this, she would meet her demise the day she publicly performed one of those songs.
“Have you ever written a song before? I’ll keep insulting you for a whole month; if I’m not tired, I’ll continue. Village woman, unserious woman. You’re a curse. All these people who call themselves gospel musicians. Do you even live out the messages in your songs?” he fumed.
He accused her of using him for clout and further cursed her, saying, “Anytime you sing any of the songs I’ve written for you, you’ll die an instant death.”
