Brother Sammy is recognized for his unconventional personality, which somewhat diverges from the traditional image of a gospel musician.
He has stirred controversy once again by telling Abeiku Santana that he sees no issue with premarital sex, a stance that contradicts biblical teachings.
He argues that it is essential for couples to explore their sexual relationship prior to marriage, claiming that this approach can help avoid potential issues in their future union.
“You have to try it; you have to taste it! You need to experience what you’re going to be entangled with for the rest of your life,” he stated firmly.
Abeiku Santana, taken aback by his remarks, expressed disappointment, emphasizing that Brother Sammy’s role as a gospel musician makes his views particularly troubling.
However, Brother Sammy maintained that he is being real and pragmatic, suggesting that his perspective exists outside the confines of biblical doctrine.
“You don’t want the truth. No matter how filled I am with the Holy Spirit, I still live in the real, practical world. I will come back to the physical and face life.”
Furthermore, he urged people to place greater importance on having children rather than getting married, noting that offspring are generally more likely to remain with their parents than spouses are.
“I will advise the youth to opt for childbirth instead of marriage. Unlike marriage, the benefits of having kids are endless. Your children are not likely to abandon you someday, but your partner might,” he said
