Rita Dominic has swiftly reacted to viral media reports that she and her husband have welcomed a set of twins.
The report of the birth circulated on social media on Sunday, September 3, 2023, and several mainstream blogs reported on it without verifying the news from her.
Particularly on Twitter which is now called X, it was said, “Rita Dominic and her husband, Fidelis Anosike, welcome a set of Twins.”
However, the Light in the Dark actress has addressed the issue, debunking it forthright in a post shared on social media. She simply said, “You know you are lying.”
Rita Dominic and Fidelis Anosike exchanged vows in holy matrimony at Selby Abbey, North Yorkshire, England, on Saturday.
The wedding ceremony was held at the historic abbey, which boasts a rich history spanning over 900 years. Fidelis Anosike, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Folio Group, owners of the Daily Times and Miss Nigeria pageant, is now Rita’s husband.
The bridal train included TV presenter Michelle Dede as the Chief Maid of Honour, Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw, Vicky Sogunro, and Olivia Waturuocha, all dressed in white outfits. Fellow Nollywood actress Chioma Akpotha was also in attendance. Rita Dominic had previously kept her relationship with Fidelis Anosike a secret until she unveiled his identity on 26 December 2020.
The couple announced their engagement in April and tied the knot traditionally on 19 April 2022 at Rita’s late father’s compound, the home of the traditional ruler of the community, Eze Marcellenus J.O Waturuocha, in Aboh, Mbaise, Imo State.
On her traditional wedding day, Nollywood stars including Chidi Mokeme, Ini Edo, Uche Jombo, Lily Afegbai, and more were seen celebrating their colleague by dancing excitedly in their hotel rooms.
