A$AP Rocky is officially a free man. After a tense legal battle that kept fans and critics on edge, a Los Angeles jury found him not guilty of all charges in his gun assault trial.
The verdict, delivered after just three hours of deliberation, marked the end of a case that could have put the Harlem-born rapper behind bars for over two decades.
The accusations stemmed from a 2021 incident in which Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, was accused of firing a semi-automatic handgun at his former friend, Terell Ephron, also known as A$AP Relli, during a heated dispute in Hollywood.
Prosecutors painted a picture of a reckless act of violence, while the defense countered with claims that Ephron had fabricated the entire story for financial gain.
The trial was filled with conflicting testimonies, but in the end, the jury wasn’t convinced by the prosecution’s case.

As the verdict was read, relief washed over the rapper, who immediately turned to embrace his family and longtime partner, Rihanna.
She had been a constant source of support throughout the trial, and in the moments that followed, she shared her joy on social media, calling the outcome a blessing.
Speaking to reporters outside the courthouse, Rocky kept it simple but heartfelt: “Thank y’all for saving my life.”

The ruling puts an end to a legal battle that had loomed over his career and personal life. Had he been convicted, he faced up to 24 years in prison, a fate he narrowly escaped.
Now, with the weight of the trial lifted, A$AP Rocky can finally move forward—free and vindicated.
