No Room for Political Games in Mahama’s Administration – Adorye Warns NPP

Hopeson Adorye has levelled serious accusations against some members of his party.

According to Adorye, a faction within the NPP is allegedly scheming to undermine President John Dramani Mahama’s administration by orchestrating another wave of the dreaded “dumsor” crisis—prolonged and erratic power outages that once plagued the nation.

The former NPP stalwart did not mince words as he addressed the issue during a press interaction. “Some NPP members want to sabotage Mahama’s government by plunging the nation into another dumsor crisis. But their plans will fail miserably.

Ghanaians are now awake and will not tolerate such political gimmicks anymore,” he declared with conviction.

His remarks, coming just weeks after Mahama’s election victory, highlight the lingering tensions between Ghana’s two leading political parties.

Adorye issued a stern warning to his own party members, expressing his resolve to hold them accountable if they engage in any actions aimed at destabilizing the new administration.

“After three months of Mahama being in power, if I hear any NPP member complain about the state of affairs, I will personally deal with them ruthlessly,” he warned.

For Adorye, the time for partisan games is over, and the focus must now shift to national development.

In a surprising display of bipartisanship, Adorye signaled his openness to collaboration across party lines, particularly with Alan Kyerematen, a notable figure within the NPP who recently contested for the party’s leadership.

Adorye suggested that if Kyerematen were to work with Mahama’s administration to contribute ideas for Ghana’s progress, he would offer his full support.

“It’s about Ghana’s progress, not petty party politics. If Alan decides to share his ideas with Mahama’s administration, I will gladly support him. Ghana comes first,” Adorye remarked.
