No Politician Can Solve All Our Problems—Shatta Wale

Shatta Wale has expressed his belief that the current system is malfunctioning and that it is the citizens who have allowed it to thrive, resulting in politicians taking advantage of the situation.

Additionally, he argues that it is unrealistic to expect politicians to solve all the problems faced by the citizens, as it is an impossible task.

According to Shatta Wale, throughout his observation and involvement in politics, he has not witnessed a strong relationship between any government and its citizens. This is primarily due to the high expectations placed on governments by citizens.

During an interview with Kafui Dey on GTV, Shatta Wale emphasized that even if multiple governments were to come together to govern the country, the citizens would still be dissatisfied with their performance.

Therefore, he believes that Ghanaians can only achieve a better life by focusing on their success rather than solely relying on the government. In effect, he said no politician can solve our problems.

“If you have been hungry before, you will know how to look for the success of your own life. You won’t pretend. The whole system is just pretending, including the citizens and that is why we have presidents coming in and telling us things they cannot do and we just sit and watch them.

“When Mahama was in power, I was watching people say he wasn’t doing anything. Now that Akufo-Addo is also in power, they are saying the same thing. I always say this, and I once said it in my song that bring Bawumia, Akufo-Addo, and Mahama together to rule the country and people will still say they aren’t doing anything,” he emphasised.

Shatta, who professed to have been in search of divine guidance regarding the events occurring in the nation, revealed the insights he had received in the past.

“One day I was seeking answers from God about how the country is turning, and he told me that we have to step on toes to solve the problem. He said, currently, everyone is suffering, and we have to step on toes to solve the problem,” he stated.
