Celebrated Ghanaian actress and media personality Nana Ama McBrown has sparked discussions with her candid remarks about teenage pregnancy and the responsibilities that come with it.
During an appearance on Fakye TV’s Fakye Showbiz, the actress revealed her unwavering stance on handling the situation if her daughter were to become pregnant at a young age.
“I will not let my daughter abort her pregnancy on any day,” she declared, her voice firm yet maternal. “I am here to support her every step of the way. If she gets pregnant at 16, she will give birth at seventeen.”
The actress, known for her nurturing persona and dedication to family values, emphasized her readiness to step in and take responsibility. For her, the solution lies in creating a supportive environment rather than casting blame or ostracizing young people in such situations.

“What I will do is to see any young man she is involved with and the family,” McBrown continued. “I will inform the family not to scare their son in case whatever he’s involved in with my daughter leads to an unwanted pregnancy.
I am ready to take that responsibility because she is my only priceless asset, and I don’t want someone to make me lose her.”
