Songwriter Tiffany Red has shared her harrowing experience with Sean “Diddy” Combs on Instagram, revealing how she endured trauma while working in the music industry under his influence.
Red expressed relief after Combs’ recent legal troubles, stating, “Today, I feel a little safer knowing Sean Combs is behind bars,” and extended gratitude to the U.S.
Attorney for the Southern District of New York and Homeland Security for holding Combs and the music industry accountable.
Reflecting on the traumatic experiences she endured while co-creating Cassie’s sophomore album, Red described how she was degraded and deceived by Combs, his team, and record labels. She also witnessed his abuse of Cassie and others within her circle.
One particularly distressing memory involved unknowingly consuming a substance laced without her consent during a 2017 session at Combs’ Hombly Hills home studio. “I’ll never forget screaming, ‘What’s in this?!’
“I knew instantly after smoking the joint that something was wrong,” she recalled, haunted by the gaps in her memory from that night.
Red emphasized the toxic environment she encountered in pursuit of her music career, concluding that “no one should have to endure this kind of trauma” and calling for better treatment of artists.
Her post comes as more troubling allegations surface against Combs, further tarnishing the reputation of the Bad Boy mogul.
As of now, Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing legal challenges related to various allegations, including those of sexual assault and other misconduct.
These allegations have garnered significant media attention, especially following statements from multiple women, including singer Cassie, who recently filed a lawsuit against him.
Cassie’s claims detail instances of abuse and manipulation during their relationship, which has prompted a broader discussion about accountability in the music industry.
